Allatoona High School Orchestra now owns a quartet of Electric Instruments made by Yamaha. All students are going to get an opportunity to use these instruments on a regular basis. Please check out the links to these instruments under the category: Yamaha Silent Instruments.

I finally began my work on setting up our new room today! It was very exciting and very time consuming! A special thanks goes to Mr. Schroter from Durham Middle School  for his help today. We have unpacked 100 NEW CHAIRS AND 100 NEW STANDS!!!!!  The Electric Instruments are in (Violin, Viola Cello and Bass) and new things will be arriving daily.

I am very anxious and excited to get going. If you are reading this and are an orchestra student, please email me, so I can send you updates and notes.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the organizational meeting of the Allatoona High School Orchestra. This will be a great opportunity for us to get to know each other. discuss classes and plans for next year, organize an Orchestra Booster Club and present Summer Camp Opportunities.

Please take the time to attend this meeting, to help establish great traditions of excellence for our orchestra. The meeting will last no more than an hour and will begin at 7:00 PM in The Durham Middle School Orchestra Room. Last night was the 6th grade jamboree, and let me tell you, it was awesome. I am so proud of the work all of the 6th graders are doing. Your future is incredible.

 Congratulations on a GREAT performance, and make sure to thank your teachers, Ms Robertson, Mr Schrotter and Ms. Irwin for all of their hard work!!!

It was really great meeting the Durham 8th graders! I was very impressed with your playing and your desire to make music. I am really looking forward to our work together next year.

I want to congratulate all the Middle Schools on their recent performance at CODA, and all of the High Schools on their recent performance at the GMEA LPGE. I have heard wonderful things about your performances. I am really looking forward to continuing the great tradition of excellence you have already established in West Cobb!!!

I would like to invite all future orchestra students and parents to attend Allatoona High School’s next Coffee talk. In addition to learning valuable information about your new school, Mr. Palmer will present a vision for the Orchestra and Fine Arts department as well as take time to talk with the orchestra parents and students.
